The Hawke’s Bay Branch of the Royal Society Te Apārangi, presents The 1931 Hawke’s Bay Earthquake Commemoration Lecture. This year Professor Jason Ingham of the University of Auckland will give a lecture on assessing and upgrading existing buildings for earthquakes with relevance to Hawke’s Bay Art Deco buildings. This annual lecture commemorates the 1931 Earthquake, without which we would have no Art Deco. Doors open from 5pm
