Beers, Bars & Brothels

ART DECO TRUST EVENT

Step back in time on our immersive 2-hour guided walking tour. Delve into the rich history of the 1930s as we explore three iconic drinking establishments: The Rose at the Masonic, The Hawkes Bay Club and the Provincial Bar. Begin your adventure with a glass of fine wine or beer, setting the stage for the stories that lie ahead. As the sun gracefully sets on our final stop, we’ll conclude our journey with another delightful libation to soak in the tales of this bygone era. Our charismatic guide will regale you with humorous anecdotes about the lively characters who once roamed these historic venues. Discover the intriguing tales of not only the bars but also the vibrant world of brothels that thrived in the shadows.

Please note that this tour is exclusively for adults. This tour does depart in most weather conditions so a warm coat, walking shoes and perhaps an umbrella are recommended. A fabulous fur coat would be absolutely appropriate.
