Jazzing Up Church

INDEPENDENT EVENT

Join us for a gospel and jazz-flavoured service to remember the courage and resilience of all affected by the 1931 earthquake and celebrate the stylistic resurrection of the Cathedral and city, including a salute to the tremendous role the service personnel played in the aftermath of the earthquake.  The Veronica Bell will sound for the last time as the weekend’s festivities wind down.  Music for this event features the Waiapu Cathedral Choir under the direction of Anthony Tattersall, and the Hawke’s Brass Quintet. Deco garb most welcome!
