Whakatūwheratanga – Opening Ceremony
ART DECO TRUST AND NAPIER CITY COUNCIL EVENT
Nau mai haere mai ki Whakatūwheratanga. This very special ceremony sees the laying of the Festival mauri stone which carries the essence of the Festival from year to year. Following the blessing, there will be mihi whakatau (speeches) and waiata (songs of welcome).
